Rebecca Trangco-Evans, MD

Rebecca Trangco Evans, MD is Board Certified Physiatrist at Pain and Spine Consultants. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine and was Fellowship Trained in Interventional Pain Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr. Trangco Evans was appointed Chief Resident Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation 2009 at Nassau University Medical Center, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She was invited with scholarship to attend American Pain Society Annual Convention in 2009. She was also invited and attended the International Meeting of International Olympic Committee Annual Conference of 2009 at Stanford University. She then presented and published articles in American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Association of Academic Physiatrists. Dr. Trangco-Evans even authored 2 chapters in Oxford Book of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Dr. Trangco-Evans is a medical graduate of Far Eastern University-NRMF, Manila, Philippines. While there, she completed 2 years of Residency in Internal Medicine. She worked in Intraoperative Electromyography Monitoring and completed a Surgical Internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Trangco-Evans believes that most physical conditions can be prevented, reversed, or palliated to a state where the person can function and enjoy life to the fullest. Her belief is that there is a strong correlation in the physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological aspects of a human being. Addressing just one aspect of these compartments will make an imbalanced approach to achieve good health and happiness. Good nutrition, balanced regular exercise and peace of mind are keys to obtain good health. Resolving inter-personal issues and unburdening the heart of emotional baggage can unlock the door to true health and quality of life.

Dr. Trangco-Evans enjoys continuing her medical education by going to medical conference, attending cadaver courses to update knowledge and hone her skills in different procedures to treat pain. She recently attended June 2017 World Congress of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Techniques in Paris France focusing on Endoscopic approach to treat back pain.She also attends courses offered by the American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehab, International Society of Interventional Spine annual meetings. She has special interest in learning what others around the world do to treat pain.

Dr. Trangco-Evans is originally from the Philippines, born in a farmland. Dr. Evans enjoys organic gardening, exploring nature, vegetarian cooking, reading the Word. She strongly believes in God who is the source of life, wisdom, true peace and health as we sojourn in this chaotic world.
